Good artwork produces better results.
Laser cutting is only as accurate as the file it follows. Here's exactly what we need from you — and what we'll do if you'd rather we handled it.
Design requirements
Supply artwork at the final production size, in CMYK or with clearly specified colours. Keep critical detail away from the edges, and remember that very fine lines and small text may not survive cutting or engraving at scale.
Artwork checking
We check every file before production: dimensions, cut lines, engraving areas, font outlines and colour separation. If something won't work, we tell you before we cut.
Proof approval
You receive a digital proof for every custom job. Production only starts once you approve it in writing — and the approved proof is what we manufacture.
Supported file types
AI, PDF, SVG, EPS, DXF, PNG, JPG and PSD. For laser cutting we strongly prefer SVG, AI, DXF or PDF.
Vector rules for laser work
- Vector artwork is preferred for all cutting and engraving.
- Convert all fonts to outlines before sending your file.
- Supply artwork at the correct final dimensions — not scaled.
- Clearly define cut lines versus engraving areas.
- The customer is responsible for final proof approval.
Design service
Don't have print-ready artwork? Our design service is R650.00 per signage and includes 2 rounds of changes. Additional artwork time is billed at R250.00 per hour and is always agreed with you first.
